Next February, I will participate in a benefit climb of Acotango, a steep volcano on the Chile-Bolivia border. At 6,056 metres, the Acotango is 160 metres higher than the famous Kilimanjaro! Each climber in this expedition must raise $5,000 in donations in addition to paying his own travel expenses ($4,500). I need your help to meet my fundraising goal.
All proceeds will go to the Fondation du CSSSG, a registered charity, and tax receipts will be issued for donations of $20 and up. You may donate online or by calling the Fondation at 819 595-6108.
Your donation will be used mostly towards the purchase of a PET scanner. The PET scanner allows physicians to pinpoint cancer cells and determine how they respond to treatment, resulting in more targeted and effective care. Based on current incidence rates, 38% of women and 44% of men in Canada will develop cancer during their lifetimes...
